Voices of the river: a water perspective is an interdisciplinary project by Treeorganico that brings together the practices of field recording, sound and movement.
The theme reflects on the ways river spaces are inhabited, it delves into the natural and anthropogeographic aspects of rivers and it was born in 2021 with an initial research on the Isonzo river, a waterway that flows through Slovenia and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The first outcome of Voices of the River was a quadriphonic installation and video projection (25min) which was shown at DobiaLab (cultural association that supported the initial research) in Dobbia (GO), at Mittelfest Immagini in Cividale (UD) and later on at Danzare a Monte Festival in Cavalese (TN).
In 2024 the project was supported and chosen for a residency in Sicina in Valfloriana (TN) by Danzare a Monte Festival.
In this occasion the team explored the Rio delle Seghe to create a new site specific performance with sound and movement involved.
